Agenda

Unifying Vision:  Greater Consequence Through Excellence, Engagement, Equity

We welcome public comment regarding any subject not on the agenda during the time identified for “Public Comment”. All matters requiring a response will be forwarded to staff. Presentations made under “Public Comment” are normally restricted to three (3) minutes in length per meeting unless the Chairman specifically authorizes additional time.

  3. Approval of the minutes from the September meeting

  5. Committee Reports/Critical Updates
    1. Nominating Committee: The committee will present a new candidate to join the Board for consideration and vote. 
    2. Creative Catalysts: Discussion on updated plans for a first meeting of creative professionals.

 Art Break 

  1. Program Reports
    1. CreativeSonoma.org: Staff will update the board on the most recent round of refining of the Creative Profiles on CS.org.
    2. Public Art: Staff will update the board on the status of the public art consultancy including recent meetings with the Steering Committee and the Supervisors’ Ad Hoc committee meeting; an update on the Fire Memorial will also be presented.
    3. Grants: Updates will be provided on status of Arts + Culture Equity Fellows, the Arts Impact Grants for Organizations (AIGO), and Arts Education Planning Grants.
    4. Arts Education: An update will be provided on the arts education progress for Creative Sonoma and the Arts Education Alliance.
  2. Board Updates:  Board members will be invited to offer any news and updates.
  3. New Business (if any).

Open Meetings: Except as expressly authorized under the Brown Act, all meetings of Creative Sonoma are open to attendance by interested members of the public. Public Comment: Creative Sonoma invites comment from the public on issues under consideration and other issues worthy of consideration. Written comment is preferred in all cases, especially to suggest new issues. Comments should be provided to the Creative Sonoma office at least 10 days before the meeting in order to be distributed to Creative Sonoma Advisory Board Members with agenda materials. Oral comment on a Creative Sonoma agenda topic will be allowed during a 10-minute period at the beginning of the meeting.
