A Rich Agricultural Tradition

Sonoma County’s agriculture has long been recognized as one of its leading sectors, boasting a total production value of $1.1 billion in 2018, which represents a 24% increase from 2017 and is the first time in history that the gross value of agricultural commodities produced in Sonoma County has exceeded one billion dollars.

Almost 71 percent of the gross value of agricultural commodities is attributed to winegrapes, while other prominent crops include milk, poultry, cattle, nursery products and vegetables.
