Founded in 1979, Sonoma Millworks got its start manufacturing and distributing forest products, such as prefabricated lumber and plywood components. Today, the company has expanded its offerings to include custom milling services from salvaged lumber. A recent partnership with award-winning master craftsman, Whit McLeod, has created a new line of wood products—VinoPlank—which repurposes oak tasting sticks used in the wine-making process into new products, like tables, cabinetry, countertops and architectural wall treatments. McLeod states, “Where everyone else only saw a discarded material, we recognized the chance to create a wood product of uncommon structural integrity and beauty.” Sonoma Millwork's reputation for precision craftsmanship has earned it a growing list of clients, including Jordan Winery, Rodney Strong Winery, Montgomery Village Shopping Center in Santa Rosa, CA and the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA.
