Sonoma County Film Office Seeks Possible Filming Locations for Movies and TV

Santa Rosa, CA  –  April 15, 2013  –  Film Sonoma County LogoThe Sonoma County Film Office would like to add to its photo gallery of local properties for possible filming locations for movies, commercials, still photography for catalogues, TV specials and videos.

The photo gallery helps direct production professionals to locations where still photography, commercials, or movies may be filmed. The photo gallery also enables the Film Office to provide information quickly and efficiently to film professionals. The photo gallery helps advise the film industry of the diverse possibilities of filming in Sonoma County.

Locations currently in demand by film scouts and production companies are barns and outbuildings, houses (inside and out) with hardwood floors, high ceilings and interesting detail work, as well as ultra-modern homes. Film professionals are also looking for tranquil settings, caves, vacant buildings, warehouses, as well as vintage or state-of-the-art business buildings.

Those interested in registering their property for possible inclusion in the film location gallery and consideration by the print, commercial, and film industry, please email the Sonoma County Film Office at film@sonoma-county.org or download the “Cinema Scout Input Form.” It is available at http://www.sonoma-county.org/film/regform.htm.

The Sonoma County Film Office is a division of the Economic Development Board of Sonoma County. The Film Office mission is to enhance economic activity in Sonoma County by attracting film production, and acting as a liaison between production companies and our community.

The website may be visited at www.filmsonomacounty.com.
